Gifts Ideas 2010

Okay so rather than try and set this up in an email that I send to people multiple times, probably forgetting something each time, I figured I’d put the Christmas gift ideas here for you to draw from.  If you feel you want to get something and want to leave a comment here so the rest of the family knows that that piece has been gotten, I promise I won’t ruin the surprise for anyone.  And the kids can’t read the words all quite yet so we can get away with it for at least another year.  🙂  Whenever possible I’ll put a link to where it can be gotten.

As far as favorite colors and sizes…

• Miss C – favorite color is Green, she is wearing size 5T – 6T right now.  If it is something with pants then that is a 5T.
• Miss L – favorite color is Pink, she wears anywhere from a we’ll say a 4T and up as far as shirts and dresses. If it is something with pants then that is a 3T.
• Miss F – no favorite color yet :), she is currently going into 3-6/6-9 months (not that we really need many clothes for her!)

Dr Me & Mrs Me (Whole Family)

• Crockpot
• SodaStream (have recently seen at Bed Bath& Beyond and BJ’s I think)
• Towels:  Color not too specific, something that goes with our curtain is nice or it can just be white thinking that will go with anything (or anywhere) we end up being in the future).
  • Bath Towels – big whole sheet wrap Michael up in kinda bath towels.  🙂
  • Hair Towels – obviously we don’t need a ton of these but a few of this size would be nice.  Same as above on color
  • Bath Mat – probably not white here, just the towel sort,  nothing with the rubber backing
  • Washcloths – don’t need too many but a few newer ones would be nice.
• Wii Games (we might be able to play some of these as a family)
  • Ultimate I Spy
  • EA Sports Active & Active 2
• Cube Shelving that can hold the fabric cubes.. I’m trying to find a picture of this they are usually 9 boxes that form the shelf .  It’s something like this if I find it I’ll update this part.  It would be good for kids toys/books, my scrapbooking
• spoonula
• pizza baking sheet
• silpat baking sheet
• update 12/13 – oven mitts
• iPhone 4, charger plug and chord to plug into the wall

The Girls… I’ll put a (C) (L) or combination there off for you to know who would like it…

• Nightgowns – both (C & L) love nightgowns, they love to be princesses especially (L)
• Tights (C & L) they love to wear dresses and tights – the funkier on the tights the better.  Old Navy, Gap are two that we have gotten via garage sales that have held up the best.  I imagine LL Bean would be good but we haven’t gotten one of those yet.
• (C) also needs clothes… size 5 pants, pajamas, dresses, and long sleeve shirts
• Toddler Bed Sheet set … (L) she wants Pink so she can have an all pink bed
• Another set of Dado Cubes.  (C & L) We have one set of the multicolor right now.  And there are just not enough for two exploring girls to play with at the same time.
  • Along that same line there are also Dado Squares and Dado Planks.  Not sure if they can work together but I’d hope so!
• Nerf Basketball Hoop.  (L & C) The girls really want to play basketball and this is probably the only way they will be able to do it safely for a little while.
• They(C & L) love to color, so coloring books, crayons are good.
• Legos(C & L)
  • Duplos are probably still preferable because they can play with them independently and we will be able to have those out when Miss F starts moving around.  There are some sets like … Family House, Learning Building Set, Pet Shop /Farm Nursery, you get the idea.  Or just more bricks (see here, here or here)… that would give them some more variety in their play
  • They enjoy the regular smaller pieces so its not that we are against those, they just will have to play with them where Fiona will not be able to get to them.

• We want to get them each a Tag reading system so they can share the books.  We have the green one in the pack from BJ’s which contains the books for short & long vowels.
  • so we still need the pink/purple Tag Reader ** update on 12/2 the Pink Reader has been gotten, along with the Consonant Book pack and the US Map (yes the girls saw a map, kept asking me questions about which state was what and actually had 5 of the 10 right when Michael came home that day)

Our Babies R Us Baby Registry is number 45261297 and we have a Wish List on Amazon where we throw things that catch our eye.  Some of each has some yeah we’ll never get it items (as gifts we know), but gives an idea of some other things that have caught my eye.

We also still need an additional blackout curtain for the room that we are going to switch the girls into, since that room has two windows.  The one we have right now we purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond. It is a 60” blackout curtain that is white.

Miss F:

• This is what we still need for baby stuff.  We don’t really need clothes at this point
• Breathable Bumper

• 4 more medium gDiapers would be nice
• would like 1 large gooseberry purple gDiaper, otherwise we have enough larges when she gets to that size
• bamboo cloth gFlapper diaper inserts – available at NappyShoppe.com – we could use probably 12 more of the m/l size
• GroVia Diaper liners (allows the use of diaper rash ointment without destroying the absorbency of cloth diaper inserts)
• GroVia majic stick, a rash ointment that supposedly can be used with cloth
• she also likes the shells from GroVia just not the cloth inserts (we use the bamboo above with them) so shells hook & loop (only please)
  
• HighChair – not sure which one we want, but Lia has really cracked the one that she had and probably we should not be using it for Fiona.  Right now it’s not an issue as she doesn’t move yet 🙂
• Fisher-Price Newborn-to-Toddler Portable Rocker

• Jetmax Modular Storage, these would be great so hopefully I can actually get everything organized so I can use it for my projects and for doing things with the girls
• Epson PictureMate Charm or Show … might actually get some more pictures printed!
• Log Your Memory – Memory Logbook 2011 and wall calendar  (I can print the logbook so downloadable is fine)
