A Spring Update
End of March
My brain literally cannot believe it is already the end of March. I look at my draft posts and see a few that I started and now will have to modify to get out. We’ve moved on from South America to Europe for example, so something talking about what we did this week is a little outdated. I’ll still make the posts but will have to think about how to re-frame the time-frames now.
I’ve still only had maybe two regular weeks of the entire semester. I’m not sure what has made it so irregular this year, except everything going wrong between cars and sickness in the beginning. Then things have just been busy. I might still put this post up yet where I showed just how off we were this year.
Looking toward April
Things I’m looking forward to in April are:
Blogging
I am finding a renewed push to write and to get here to write. Having a few things all show up in one day on Facebook giving me nudges. This tweet shared by a writer I follow. The post below I shared on Facebook.
Camp NaNoWriMo starts up again April 1st, and the 100 day project starts on April 2nd.

… yeah it’s time to stop putting things off and listen.
For Camp Nanowrimo, my idea is to be creative and write for fun, write for blogging. So yes I will fully count words I write here. For the100dayproject, I’m going to write or try fancy lettering. I have been wanting to work on my handwriting stamina anyways. There are days I want to write and just not use a computer but my wrist is just not up to it anymore.
I am also drawn to being creative in the way lettering can be. Some Instagram’ers that have been inspiring me are…
- Grace Callie Designs
- Cindy Guentert-Baldo at llamaletters
Spring
Despite living in the North Country I can tell spring is on its way. Yes we had snow this morning and still have it on the ground but in two days it is actually supposed to be 50 (f). We still are in the 20’s at night but there is some hope of getting out and walking.
Walking
I am looking forward to walking with my girls. Even at the sedate pace of a Pokemon walk. Getting them to get some energy out, not in the house will be a bonus. Until the winter is gone and during this winter the Fit2B Kid Workouts {affiliate} have been a lifesaver sometimes. Since my backyard is currently a waiting mud pit to be stirred I’ll keep them doing workouts here in the house while the ground firms up a bit outside.
I’m so grateful I have the membership to Fit2B. Months ago I had talked about my 4 things for 40 days… well it hasn’t happened yet. What better time than to start it in April the fourth month, while I’m still 44? Yes I’m absolutely crazy. 😛
But because I have the Premium Membership I can mix up my Fit2B routines throughout the month.
The MEA mini courses like: MEA 1: Startup7 as I’m trying to gently get myself into gear and MEA 4: Walking as a Workout will be perfect as I try to prep for walking with my husband as the weather gets nice. He can powerwalk a sub 15 minute mile, or at least could at the end of last year. I am no where close and I know I need to start taking care of myself better.
I love the Relaxation routines when it has been a hard day, and trust me there have been a few lately. My girls are going to be starting the Fit2B Girls course this coming month as well as a part of their homeschool curriculum. Since I have the premium membership this is all included.
I’m Not Looking Forward To
April is a BUSY and I do mean busy month.
My husband has three events/trips for work outside of his normal classes. Because of this he will be home half of the time he is usually home in the month.
Growing Up
My daughter is growing up. Yes I know which one, aren’t they all? Yes but…
My oldest will be participating in her first event without me. Yes her father will be there (its one of the events he’s running this month) but she will be working alongside high school and college students. It’s hard to believe that she is old enough to do something like this, even as my oldest she will always be one of my babies.
Buying Shoes
I hate shoe shopping on a good day but I know I have at least three in the family that will need them, especially for all the walking we want to do… fun times.
What About You?
What are you looking forward to as the weather shifts? What are you not looking forward to?
